Jolly-Gopichand win India's 1st women's doubles medal in 15 yrs at Badminton World C'ships

India's women's doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand secured bronze at the BWF World Championships 2026. They lost 21-18, 13-21, 8-21 to China's Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning in semi-final match on Saturday. The duo became the first India women's doubles pair since Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa in 2011 to win a medal at the World Championships.
