Platforms can't run in India as per US law: Govt to Meta amid PM Modi video row
Government officials told Meta that social media platforms cannot operate in India "as per US law", ANI reported. "Platforms have...responsibility towards society and the law," they said. Meta's global team will reportedly remain in India for a few more days to discuss compliance with local laws, amid a row over Facebook's temporary removal of PM Narendra Modi's selfie video.
