What did the Supreme Court say on marital rape?

The Supreme Court on Wednesday, while speaking on the marital rape debate, said there was no question of marriage resulting in the extinction of a woman's autonomy. The bench noted that where grievous injury, harm or death is caused, other criminal provisions may apply and that the existing marital rape exception does not protect a husband from prosecution.
