Govt raises ₹31,552 cr from LIC OFS in India's largest public offering ever
The government has raised ₹31,552 crore by selling a stake in Life Insurance Corporation of India, making it India's largest-ever public offering. The two-day offer for sale saw strong participation from institutional and retail investors, enabling the government to fully exercise its green shoe option. The sale also helps LIC move closer to meeting Sebi's minimum public shareholding requirement.
