SC lambasts UP Police over 'cover up' in FIR, says 'Might as well disband it'

The Supreme Court took a hard stance against Uttar Pradesh Police after an FIR named an "unknown" motorcycle rider, despite the complainant allegedly catching him on the spot and handing him over to the police. "In everything, you have an agenda...We might as well disband the UP Police," it said. The bench also called the police investigation a "cover-up job".
