Essar Group to invest $18 bn in US, including Iowa steel plant

India's Essar Group announced an $18 billion US investment, including a $15 billion steel plant in Iowa, during an Oval Office event with President Trump. The facility, developed by Essar's subsidiary Mesabi Metallics, targets 10 million tons annual output by 2030, creating 6,000 construction and 2,000 permanent jobs.
