Guj NGO withdraws ₹10,000-cr defamation suit against BBC over PM documentary

A Gujarat-based NGO has withdrawn its ₹10,000 crore defamation lawsuit against BBC over its documentary about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The NGO had accused the British broadcaster of defaming PM Modi and the Indian judiciary by airing the documentary in India in January 2023. The NGO has sought permission to file a fresh lawsuit, saying it will be filed again.
