Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge released manifesto for Assam polls, saying that all women will receive an unconditional monthly cash transfer to their bank accounts and ₹50,000 to start their businesses. He promised cashless health insurance of ₹25 lakh for each family, issuance of land ‘patta’ to 1 million ‘bhoomiputras’ (indigenous inhabitants) and ₹1,250 per month for state's senior citizens.
