India and the US have agreed to address non-tariff barriers, including compliance hurdles and procedural delays, under the interim trade deal framework. As part of this, India will ease restrictions on US medical device imports, remove restrictive import licensing procedures for ICT goods, and review whether US or international standards can be accepted for access to the Indian market.
