Jharkhand to let prisoners work outside jail, return by evening

Jharkhand, in a new prison reform system, is set to allow selected jail inmates to leave prison during day, work outside, and return by evening, reports said. The move is aimed at allowing eligible prisoners an opportunity to earn livelihood and support their families. It will currently be done at four central jails under new open and semi-open barrack system.
