US ICE plans gloves that can give painful electric shocks to detainees

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is planning to spend $20 million on gloves that deliver painful electric shocks during confrontations. The devices, known as Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter (G.L.O.V.E.), are designed to function like ordinary gloves until an officer activates electrical mode. Reportedly, the pain from the shock can help officers achieve compliance within seconds.
