India won women's 4x400m relay gold at Asian Games 2026 on Tuesday, securing the country's first athletics gold of the edition. The quartet of Kiran Pahal, MR Poovamma, Prachi Choudhary and Vithya Ramraj clocked 3:29.69 to bag the gold. India had won silver in the event at Asian Games 2022 after claiming five consecutive titles from 2002 through 2018.

Cement companies are likely to raise prices by ₹5-20 per bag in October, a Centrum Broking report said. The forecast follows a surge in pricing momentum in September, when the all-India average trade price increased by ₹7 per bag month-on-month to ₹356.
