Former TMC MLA Ramendu Sinharay was brought to Dhaniakhali Police Station in West Bengal's Hooghly on transit remand after being arrested in Karnataka. As he arrived, people present at the spot raised 'chor-chor' slogans and hurled eggs at him. Sinharay was arrested in a case related to the alleged transportation of government relief materials and offences under the Arms Act.
