Boeing has sent layoff notices to around 400 members of its professional aerospace labour union. This marks the beginning of its planned layoffs. Boeing earlier revealed plans to lay off 17,000 employees in the coming months. Notably, Boeing had reported a net loss of $6.2 billion in Q3, the highest quarterly loss since 2020 when COVID-19 affected air travel.
