Stocks of textile companies fall as RoDTEP incentive cut by 50%

Shares of Indian textile companies such as Gokaldas Exports and Arvind fell up to around 4.3% on the BSE. The investors reacted to the government's decision to halve export incentives under the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme. This 50% cut in remission rates has dampened sentiment around profit margins for export-oriented firms, reports said.
